Nayarit has 536 registered bird species, 36% of the total we have as a country. In Nayarit biological cycles of ecosystems are integrated by mangroves, coastal lagoons, marshes, forests and jungles, which have global importance for the preservation of species.

In recent years, this natural wealth has been the reason for an increasing interest for specialized tourism, which visits our State in order to know the places where these birds live, observe them and keep scientific records that contribute to a better understanding of natural cycles of the birds in the North American subcontinent.
